«Modern interior design in Azerbaijan»

Ideally, the modern interior is the projection of the inner world/state of mind of the person. Building’s interior carries much more informative content in comparison with its spatial exterior form. The facade of the structure acts only as the external material boundary of the interior, which generalizes the complex content of the internal structure. The phenomenon of architectural form, therefore, occurs at the border of the interior and exterior.

Despite the rich historical traditions and a wide palette of modern development of art of interior in Azerbaijan, this area of design activity of architects and designers was not the subject of a special study, neither in architectural-historical, nor in art or design scientific works until the publication of this book. The author penned this work with purpose of creating a comprehensive picture of the development of state-of-art interior design in Azerbaijan.
